May 18-20, 2026 | Booth B128, Hall B1
China Optics Valley Convention & Exhibition Center, Wuhan
Qstar-Link Optical Technology Co., Ltd. will participate in the 21st Optics Valley of China International Optoelectronic Exposition (OVC EXPO 2026), with a focus on showcasing its innovative products that have filed for invention patents in both China and the United States – the Optical Extension Shield (OES) and the Air Gap Fiber Optic Connector.
Optical Extension Shield (OES): An Efficient Protection Solution for High-Speed Optical Module Test Ports
In the testing of high-speed optical modules (400G/800G/1.6T), issues such as end-face wear, short insertion life, and dust sensitivity have long been driving up costs. Qstar-Link's self-developed OES "extends" the optical module port, shifting test-induced wear to a replaceable protective device. A single OES can increase port insertion life by 3–5 times, providing comprehensive protection for optical device end-faces and effectively reducing the end-face damage rate during testing to below 0.5%. It is adaptable to various testing scenarios.
Core Advantages:
End-face Protection: Effectively avoids direct wear on optical module ports.
Extended Lifetime: Significantly reduces the cost of frequent interface replacement.
High Interoperability: Compatible with mainstream optical modules and test platforms.
Contamination Insensitivity: Reduces dependency on clean environments, improving production line yield.
Optical Interface Optimization: Ensures stable signal transmission.
Thanks to these features, the OES has been validated by multiple leading optical module manufacturers and data center customers. Its debut at the Wuhan OVC marks a major showcase of this patented invention product at a key domestic exhibition. Currently, the monthly production capacity of the OES has reached 30,000 units, capable of meeting batch delivery requirements.
Polarization-Maintaining Optical Extension Shield (PM-OES): Meeting the Demanding Requirements of Coherent and Sensing Applications
To address the stringent requirements for polarization state preservation in areas such as coherent optical modules, fiber optic sensing, and quantum communications, Qstar-Link has launched the Polarization-Maintaining Optical Extension Shield (PM-OES). The product employs polarization-maintaining fiber and a high extinction ratio design, ensuring stable polarization state during testing with minimal insertion loss fluctuation. The introduction of PM-OES positions the company as one of the few manufacturers in the industry capable of simultaneously delivering both standard and polarization-maintaining optical extension shields in batch quantities, covering the full spectrum of scenarios from general-purpose testing to high-end coherent R&D.

Air Gap Fiber Optic Connector: A New Choice for Non-Contact Multi-fiber Connection
The Air Gap fiber optic connector utilizes concave end-face polishing and AR coating technology to achieve non-contact mating. It offers an insertion life of 300–600 cycles (compared to approximately 100 cycles for traditional connectors), exhibits high tolerance to dust and oil contamination, and significantly reduces cleaning frequency. It is suitable for high-speed optical module testing from 100G to 1.6T, data center interconnection, and other scenarios.
